Inquiry continues into road body

The woman whose body was found on the A12 had multiple injuries, police said.

The body was found on the southbound carriageway near Capel St Mary on Tuesday night and police have treated the death as unexplained.

A car was recovered for examination by police and post-mortem tests have now shown the woman died from multiple injuries.

Police urged anyone who was travelling in the area at about 2145 BST and has information to contact them.
